As a result of the Carmel Mountain wildfire disaster in December of 2010, IDFWO has embraced 33 widows and 51 orphans who have since been supported by our organization and fellow bereaved families.

Anna Derman lost her husband Kiril at the age of 26, while pregnant with their first child. At the close of the first year of her tragedy, she writes these words to her beloved husband.
