B'nai Mitzvah Twinning

Share your own Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration with one of our IDF orphans.

A Bar & Bat Mitzvah is one of the most important celebrations in a Jewish child’s life. Unlike most other children, however, orphans must celebrate this special day with an incomplete family. Consequently, the IDFWO Organization and its members, becomes their extended family that celebrates every milestone with them. The IDFWO Organization invites you to share your Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience with an IDF orphan and show them how supported and loved they are from around the world. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to create a long lasting friendship as well as gain a deep-seated appreciation for tzedakah and tikkun olam.

We will help you set up your own online fundraising campaign and connect your Bar & Bat Mitzvah with an IDF orphan who is celebrating their Bar/Bat Mitzvah that same year and who we feel will get along well with your child. You can choose to begin with an email, phone or Skype relationship, which we together, will help to cultivate. Once your child has built a personal connection with our orphan and their  family, how you would like to continue is entirely up to you. Whether you are celebrating your Bar/Bat Mitzvah in Israel or abroad there are many ways to connect and incorporate twinning into the celebration.
