B'nai Mitzvah Twinning

Share your Bar or Bat Mitzvah experience with an IDF orphan!

A Bar or Bat Mitzvah is one of the most important celebrations in a Jewish child’s life. Unlike most other children, however, orphans must celebrate this special day with an incomplete family. This is where the IDFWO Organization steps in to ensure that our orphans have proper financial and emotional support at such a momentous occasion.

The IDFWO Organization invites you to run a Mitzvah project of your choice and share your Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience by giving an IDF orphan the opportunity to celebrate his or her Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

Let’s show IDF orphans love and support from around the world!

We will match you with an IDF orphan who is celebrating their Bar and Bat Mitzvah this year and share their story with you.

Whether you are celebrating your Bar/Bat Mitzvah in Israel or abroad there are many ways to connect and incorporate your twinning project into the celebration. We will help you set up your own online fundraising campaign, send materials like bracelets, posters, and everything you need to run a successful Mitzvah project!

We will then invite you and your family to the IDFWO Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebration in Jerusalem so that you can meet the IDF orphan you sponsored and see the impact that you made on his/her life. You will also receive an official certificate for participating in our program!

This project will give you the chance to learn about Israel and the IDF, and will also help you gain a deep-seated appreciation for tzedakah and tikkun olam.
