Meet the Team






 Shlomi Nahumson- Director of Youth Programs


With a background in experiential youth education, Shlomi is our veteran employee at the IDFWO. Shlomi is the Director of Youth Programs including the Otzma camps, Bar & Bat Mitzvah trip to North America and the Europe Leadership Seminar for our teens.  He is also in charge of house visits and the Mentoring Program.





Batchen- Project Manager & Coordinator of Adult Orphans

Batchen joined the IDFWO team with a background in Political Science, conflict resolution and Business Management. Bat Chen manages the Bar and Bat Mitzvah Celebration in Jerusalem, young Widows programs and all the programs for orphans over the age of 30.Bat Chen is also responsible for applying to Local Grants and our collaboration with the Israeli authorities, as well as Yad LeBanim (The association of the families of fallen soldiers of IDF and Security Forces).  





Asaf Musman- Project Manager

Assaf came to the IDFWO with a background in Communication and Political Science.Assaf manages the Annual Widows Retreat and the Wedding Gifts and University Scholarships ceremony. He is also responsible for the Hebrew magazine and Public Relations within Israel.





Regina Kashi- Project Manager

Regina came to the IDFWO with a degree in Communications and Political Science. Regina coordinates the Loans and grants committee, Rejuvenating day trips for Widows, and adult orphan programs. Regina runs the School Supplies for First Graders programs, and events for volunteers. She is also responsible for maintaining the Hebrew social media pages, and the collaboration between the Israeli government and the IDFWO.





Shachar Sarid- Otzma Camp Coordinator

For the past 5 years, Shachar has been volunteering as a counselor for religious Jewish IDF Orphans during their Bar and Bat Mitzvah trip to North America, and Otzma camps. With so much hands-on experience with IDF orphans, a degree in psychology and education, and on route to a Masters in Social work. Shachar manages all our volunteer counselors at camp and organizes home visits to IDF orphans, and the newly added Mentoring Program.





Esti Gueta- Office Manager

Following her army service working with bereaved families of the IDF in the Ministry of Defense, Esti came to the IDFWO team. Esti is part of our Office Management group as our main Office Manager.Esti handles the organizations’ bookkeeping and committees, and alsocoordinates our Widow’s singing group and Advanced Skills Courses. 






Nadav Vilk- Otzma Coordinator

Nadav Vilk has been volunteering as an Otzma counselor for years, and he decided to begin working at the IDFWO. Nadav will be in charge of the mentoring programs, and will operate the Otzma camps, the Bar & Bat Mitzvah trip to North America, and the Leadership Seminar in Europe.





Danae Salinas- National Service, Resource Development and International Relations

Danae came to volunteer for the IDFWO all the way from Mexico! She comes to us with a background in social media and graphic design, and is currently studying a degree in Marketing. She works in the Resource Development and Fundraising team; largely working with international donors.  She spends her days on supporter relations, maintaining social media pages, English website, and marketing communications.







Inbar Kimchy- National Service, Resource Development and International Relations

Inbar is from Seattle, USA and is doing her National Service at the IDFWO. Inbar works in the Fundraising and Resource Development teams. Inbar deals with donors, along with fundraising in Israel and abroad. She also coordinates kind gift donations from Israeli companies for the Bar & Bat Mitzvah event, and is in charge of the Football quiz event.


Eva Gagba- Resource Development and International Relations


Eva brings her experience with International Relations and Human Resources. Eva coordinates the Resource Development and Fundraising activities and events of the organization, predominantly outside of Israel. Eva’s responsible for supporter relations, the organizations English magazine, IDFWO marketing communications and international PR.


 Tamar Falah- National Service, Office Management

As an Israeli citizen, Tamar chose to do her National Service at the IDFWO. Tamar is in the office management department, administrating all the registrations of our members, and arranges the logistics of our members at memorial ceremonies. She also helps with the coordination of the Annual Widow’s Retreat, the Rejuvenating Day trips and the Widow Adopts a Widow project.
